They surrendered their weapons. Listen closely! Based on the idea that the ruling power, Al-Zubayr’s rule, was one of justice, that it would offer safety and security, that there would be no problem and they would become part of this dominant system ruling the Islamic world at the time.

What happened to them?

In one single day, they were slaughtered like sheep. Their heads were cut off. All 7,000. In a single day. Because they surrendered, refused to fight, and placed their trust in those who should never be trusted when it comes to safety or promises."
