Dridam is an excellent directorial debut from Mr Martin Joseph who is a fresh new voice in the space of crime thrillers and police procedurals. It is powered by wonderful performances from Shane Nigam and the entire cast, crew. I also enjoyed twist at the end of the film
Athiradi is one of those films which stays with you long after the credits roll because of its grounded storytelling and excellent writing powered by wonderful performances from Basil Joseph, Tovino Thomas and Vineeth Srinivasan. Arun Anirudhan has made a wonderful debut
Kara is a film that really worked for me because of the interesting police and thief dynamics. It also talks about an evil which happens in our villages to this day and how banks capitalize and perpetuate those evils even further. Powered by a wonderful Dhanush performance
Karuppu is a film which focuses on art and the artist of Suriya the actor. I gained a whole new perspective despite having not seen most of his filmography. A fun film which I believe all cinephiles and film lovers should watch. 8/10 highly recommend
Main Vaapas Aaunga is a deeply moving film based on themes of memory, love, longing and loss powered by wonderful performances from Vedang Raina and Sharvari and fantastic direction from Imtiaz Ali. One of the best partition related films I have seen so far this year

Backrooms is one of the most unique and uncomfortable horror films in 2026 that I have ever seen especially the scenes involving tight spaces had my heart racing. Cannot wait to see what Kane Parsons does next 7/10 must watch in theatres near you
I personally feel that Disclosure Day directed by Steven Speilberg works as a deeply philosophical tale raising relevant questions on issues surrounding the times in which we live in powered by a wonderful Emily Blunt Performance. One time watch for me 7/10
Maa Behen is a film which provides a very important message in the times we live in which is hidden under a guise of a dark crime, comedy film powered by wonderful performances from Madhuri Dixit, Tripti Dimri and Ravi Kishan. I also enjoyed direction of Suresh Triveni (Subedaar)
Rafa is a fantastic sports documentary series where I feel the director could not have gone any closer to help us understand what a great tennis player this gentleman was and that makes it one of the finest documentaries of 2026. 8/10. Must watch if you have had a bad day
I like the film Tuner because of its unique approach to the genre of a crime thriller film. It also made me appreciate Leo Woodall and Dustin Hoffman as actors because of their performances. It is very grounded with nothing over the top. A solid 7/10 for me
Obsession is one of the most crazy, unique and wild thrillers from the mind of Curry Barker (The Chair) exploring what happens when obsession creeps into relationships and how does one person behave at that time. Powered by excellent Indy Navarrette performance. 7/10 for me
Spider Noir is one of the finest television series produced by Marvel and Sony because it is layered, relatable, grounded and gritty powered by a wonderful Nicholas Cage performance and writing which makes the show flow with easy explanations. 8/10. A must watch for everyone
