This was genuinely one of the most interesting years I have had as a creator.

I’ve met so many new people and made a wide variety of content. Some of it I’m proud and others I look back and laugh at (why did I think it was a good idea to voice act?)

@LukeyBDevs That’s why I’m so confused, don’t you want to get better as a player? Alot of it does feel like people wanting to punch down.

There are some people providing interesting perspectives but overall I agree. You should be encouraged to improve and against better players.

Can someone (politely) explain to me the issue of SBMM? For context: I play games like CS and Valorant where SBMM is a thing.

Skill based matchmaking has to go. Just makes the games so miserable. Activision has to stop exclusively reading their data and start understanding the way players feel.

@Chris__Pates Agreed that the slide cancel tac sprinting was a huge turn off for me; glad it’s now a perk.

What I’ve been gathered, the game should have a ranked mode on release.

I wonder if we’re experiencing “sweaty” players because people who want to play the beta are better players?

@Apkalluu Interesting distinction, the game gives you matches that make you want to keep playing.

It’s hard to distinguish between when I’m playing against weaker players or if I’m getting better.

I wonder if we’re experiencing this SBMM because the beta dosnt have a ranked mode?

One encourages you to stomp the lobby and one encourages you to have equal fights. They can’t coexist.

Even in the beta, getting 5 kills just to get a UAV felt…disappointing (I get you can do objectives to earns points towards your streak but still)

Wouldn’t SBMM ease newer players into the game instead of getting stomped out?

I guess that’s what a ranked mode is for right?

@Pharmac1zt That makes sense to me. When I originally heard people complaining about it, I read it as people wanted to bully newer players instead of playing against others equally skilled.

It’s more about bringing back a simpler time, before stats and ranked “mattered”

@humanstapler Gotcha, so you’re constantly gaining and losing rank even out of the ranked game mode?

I know Val uses your rank to help you find fair matches but the stakes are low.

Maybe a ranked mode will be added on release?

No one is asking you to be a “professional” thumbnail designer; they’re asking you to give a shit about the content you make and that you make a living off of. Even if it means it won’t look “as good” as whatever ai slop you can “create”

Some of the comments ont his post are actually insane. Majority of people saying "just learn to make it in Photoshop instead". Yeah no problem, let me just learn how to become a professional graphics designer cause it's so simple to do then spend hours every day making a thumbnail...

If I can make something within a few minutes that does the job I NEED IT TO DO and allow myself to have more time to focus on more important areas such as video editing/streaming etc then why wouldn't I? Hahaha
