@karthik2k2 Yes easily, the accent and choice of words give it away. Also, East Bengalis who migrated in the past had a somewhat different vocabulary compared to what is prevalent today, which has been influenced by Urdu/Arabic. Eg, jal vs pani

@dmuthuk As can be seen, the true tragedy of independent India is the deindustrialisation of WB. Initially due to Nehru's freight equalisation policy, and then militant trade unionism and anti-business posture of the Left Front government. It's continued under current TMC dispensation.
