@LeicsPoliceRPU hi, we've had bad traffic congestion for 3 days now in Thurmaston Village, up to the Humberstone Lane junction. Any idea why please? It's not just rush hour.

Today Boris Johnson described workers on furlough as "languishing out of work". Businesses are using the furlough scheme to save jobs at this time of crisis. By dismissing and cutting furlough support the PM is washing his hands of every livelihood still under threat.
the Government likes to claim it is world-beating in everything it does and to be fair it *is* world-beating at death and incompetence and endless fantasy gaslighting bollocks
Wishing all in the 'Leicester zone' well for the weekend and beyond. An amazing city that always pulls together in good and bad times. #leicesterlockdown
@sainsburys I've just messaged you re our experience in store in Thurmaston the other evening. Please could you respond. It seems to be an automated response system.
I have a 13 year old doing end of year exams at home this week. When I look at how his history curriculum basically hasn’t changed since I was at school in the 80’s it’s no wonder this country is so clueless about its past.
@Argos_Online I'm really frustrated that your business does not stock in our local store or deliver so many products I am wanting to buy to Thurmaston, despite having a store here. Why are we so badly served?
"If you can only be tall because somebody is on their knees, then you have a serious problem” - the words of the late, great Toni Morrison. Racism is an evil that none of our societies can claim to be immune from. But we must stand against & eradicate it.

Nothing like spending an hour in a queue with people saying "this is utterly ridiculous" and "what a waste of time" and then watching them vote for it. #ParliamentFarce
Unfortunately I have been excluded from Parliament and disenfranchised by the new Parliamentary voting system. Medical advice is for me to stay at home, and where we had a perfectly workable remote voting system Jacob Rees Mogg has chosen to scrap it so his PM looks better.
Arrogance, complacency, obfuscation & double standards ...
Business as usual from Jacob Rees Mogg
By cancelling hybrid proceedings, he’s creating a 2-tier parliament, silencing those who cannot be in London, putting staff at risk, & running roughshod over public health advice
I got told off for taking this picture, but people need to see how ridiculous this is. We are now 5 lines along with more snaking up the stairs. And not all MPs can be here as some are vulnerable. Each vote is going to take at least 30mins and we have 3 today. What a shower.
‘He made those who struggled to keep to the rules feel like fools and has allowed many more to assume they can now flout them. The prime minister knows all this and has chosen to ignore it.’
Savage brilliance from @maitlis#newsnight
I can’t remember a clearer demonstration of contempt for the people from a sitting Prime Minister. Johnson might as well have shambled into shot, given us all the finger and walked off again.
