@francoislegault If kids are near their peers at school but forced to stay away from them what kind of message is this giving them? Don’t trust others-Don’t go near them-You aren’t safe. Kids should remain at home with humans they are close to, until things settle.
@francoislegault The minister of education yesterday cited mental health issues as a reason for sending kids back to school. How can making kids stay 6 feet separate from each other at all times be promoting good mental health? We are going to have a generation of damaged kids.
@francoislegault How can you possibly think that it is in the best interests of young children's mental health to gather them together and tell them they are not to be in close proximity to each other? If you think that that is going to make them healthy, you are sadly mistaken!
Hi @desmos. I am enjoying your new Beta feature which allows me to leave comments for students. I have found myself, on occasion, wishing I could change or remove a comment once I write it. Any chance this could be an option in the future?
If teachers are assigning grades right now, what they are grading is PRIVILEGE. Without the equalizing force of the school-building and its services, limited as they are, teachers are grading on access to technology, wifi, food and housing security, and ableism. 1/
"This work will be graded."
@Sflecce, this is such an inequitable call.
There is no way a student can best "show what they know" during this time. Let us support and provide learning without the unnecessary pressure of being evaluated. Why do this?

Here I will share my lesson plans for my students who will not be coming to school for the next two weeks. These plans were developed with my friend @pennykittle , as well as from input from some of my ELA colleagues at Magnolia High School. But before I share, some thoughts:
On @CP24Breakfast, @sflecce said his "model" will "get better value for our $" but, the ON Financial Accountability Office showed the Ford Gov't plans to fund tax cuts at the cost of services Ontarians need.
Education cuts are funding tax cuts - that's not OK.

A branching Google Form really is a great way to create some differentiated reflection for students. https://t.co/iMMZubHK7R #GoogleEDU#GoogleForms#edtech#cuechat
