Please cause a fuss… and discuss electoral reform so we can stop MPs hiding behind party lines. For me PR is the way to tackle racism, and other hidden problems in Parliament.
How can we trust politicians who act like this to resolve national issues of international significance? We need wisdom, intelligence and knowledge not criminal masterminding, corruption and xenophobic hatred. Politicians needs to have integrity, truth and justice at their heart.
Democracy is terminally ill across the world and we need to engage people in finding the cure. PR is one way and we need to try it soon before it’s too late!
@yorksfella59 Labour died when John Smith died. ‘New Labour’ marked the shifting to the right of the left, like some dance macabre. Proportional Representation is the only thing that will save democracy in the UK now. #GTTO
@renmiou @RhonddaBryant I so agree- what other people understand - or don’t- is neither here or there. Why should their view count for more than yours?
We can discuss and decide what form PR should take after we establish the principle that PR is essential if democracy is to survive. Kier Starmer should take more notice how many people now support PR!
The Commons is now in conference recess until Oct 16th.
Of the 327 divisions held so far in this session, 206 would have changed result if seats matched votes.
That is, opposition MPs represented more people 63% of the time, but lost anyway due to #FPTP.

'...the current electoral process "robs millions of people of their vote" and "millions of people's voices go unheard".'
YES!
PR would @MakeVotesMatter
Lib Dem conference: Steve Coogan and Carol Vorderman lead rally for proportional representation https://t.co/toQ4YV0nG4
@PeterStefanovi2 The most despised government EVER.
An evil, corrupt, self-serving cabal running riot, destroying everything that was wholesome and special about this country.
I despair as we appear powerless to do anything about it.

There are different options for political reform- how can we get a consensus without discussing them openly? Don’t let reform slip away when so many want it, by an undemocratic act by a political leader!
Every time @Keir_Starmer wins a Tory vote by mimicking Tory policy, he creates a cage around himself preventing the reforms we need in power. Every broken promise stems from the fundamental broken promise for #PR.
Britain consistently REJECTS Tories and right wing ideology
In 1979 General Election, 56.1% voted for other parties.
1983, 57.6%
1987, 57.8%
1992, 58.1%
2010, 63.9%
2015, 63.2%
2017, 57.7%
2019, 56.4%
Tories WON them all anyway.
We need Proportional Representation.
This is such a poignant story on so many levels. Fabio’s views are held by so many-and @MakeVotesMatter would help solve so much of the political mess. Do we need a MakeNewsMatter movement? Buona fortuna in Spagna Fabio! @MVM_Manchester@MakeVotesMatter
The Government wants to extend voter ID laws - despite admitting they were an attempt to manipulate elections. It’s a stitch up. We say: DITCH VOTER ID before the next General Election. #ProtectOurVote https://t.co/gSg3v5ehPA #MVMManchester
Local councils should match how we vote. They do in Scotland, N. Ireland and in Wales councils can choose a fairer system.
England is being left behind. Add your name to @electoralreform's call for everyone to have a vote that can make a difference. https://t.co/VimnpN9NgT
Hi @JeffSmithetc , I am urging you as my MP to oppose the cruel 'Illegal Migration Bill'
This bill will destroy the right to asylum, and won't stop refugees from risking their lives to seek safety.
Most of the Constituency Labour Parties are in favour of Labour adopting PR for its Manifesto- we need to keep pressure up on the leadership to make sure it happens. #Makevotesmatter@openDemocracy@TheGreenParty
