After several reports over the weekend of groups congregating on local school basketball courts and soccer fields we would like to remind you to #StaySafeStayHome
Not the way we wanted to start off Spring, but in the interest of public safety the town has made the decision to temporarily close all town playgrounds, basketball & tennis courts to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Thank you for your understanding.
For the health and safety of our staff and the general public we ask that if you need police services, to call us, at (860)668-3870, rather than come to our department lobby, unless it’s absolutely necessary to do so. Thank you for your understanding.
Unfortunately we have had to temporarily suspend some of our department programs available to the public. Until further notice we will not be able to offer:
-fingerprinting
-car seat installation
-the ride along program
-the use of our training/community room.
Honored to help Peter Osowiecki celebrate retirement from 30 yrs with @SuffieldPolice at a big celebration tonight. Peter may be leaving the force but will continue on with his important work as a Canine Master Trainer. Great event with huge crowd of family, friends & colleagues.
@jillkonopka You (& your colleagues) deserve more than just this and #NationalHugaNewspersonDay. Having such professional partners makes our responsibilities as Police Public Information Officers so much easier.. and fun! Be well and know that you are appreciated.
My how things have CHANGED from the MM regime, @SuffieldPolice I cannot begin to THANK YOU for this today, the newsroom @WNYT THANKS you too! Obsessed w/the chocolate covered fruit. You MADE my Day, thanks again!!!#HappyNatlHugANewsPersonDay
Always a great time seeing these two amazing @CT_STATE_POLICE Officers: Trooper Grant and Trooper Cummings — both who I had the pleasure of doing Facebook Lives with in the past! They brought donuts and hugs in today #NationalHugANewspersonDay
It's National Hug an Anchor Day, so a few of our Troopers (and local PDs) visited some news anchors for a hug & a photo opp! Thanks to the good folks at Channel 3, News 8 & NBC CT, as well as officers from Hartford, Vernon & Manchester Police Departments!
