Unexpected assemblages can turn up on a single site. Here we have a rare type of #medieval silver brooch alongside a #mesolithic adze and #neolithic mace or hammer head from a site in Clare, Suffolk. #Suffolk #archaeology #silver #lithics

One of our recent finds- an Irish halfpenny of King John minted around 1207-11 by Roberd in Dublin, a prolific moneyer of the period. The obverse shows a crowned bust with stars in a triangle and the reverse a cross and moon, again within a triangle with three stars #FindsFriday
