@neilshermanmoth@BC_Suffolk@norfolkmoths Interesting to see the difference in moth and butterfly records (BC have chosen iRecord as their preferred system).
There was a substantial problem for me as a verifier this summer so I left it alone for upgrades to fix. I now have several thousand records to verify.
This #NationalInclusionWeek we spoke to Helping Hands for Butterflies Project Officer Anthony McCluskey about his work to make Butterfly Conservation more accessible for volunteers and include new audiences in urban areas in Scotland ππ¦

@ThrushDarkling Your ? looks worn but I will go for Brown Argus due to the lack of blue scales on the upperwings. Both species exist on that site per Will Brame's tweets.

I shall be adding another tweet or two in the next couple of days with a view of closing down at the end of the month to coincide with the end of the season (apart from occasional sightings).
I want to say a big thank you for your photos, news and support. It is much appreciated.

As I settled into this role I made a list of changes to make and one of them is to close this account down shortly because there is too much overlap with the @BC_Suffolk account. Sightings through the website are still very welcome.
@brame99 @neilshermanmoth@MigrantMothUK Congrats on the D. plusia. My guess on the Tortoiseshells (and Peacocks) is that the unusual summer has prompted them into early roosting. I stress that I don't have fieldwork data to back this up. Just a guess.

@MikeCSmiffy@Lesliecater1@RSPBMinsmere@MarcHeathym007 Hi Les, I was there yesterday too. Several Migrant and a few Southern hawkers near VC plus lots of Common Darter. Speckled Wood butterflies too but a quiet day for insects in the cloudier weather. Hobby, about 12:30 ish.
