Open Wide...What's Inside? Dentist Alex Rushworth's humorous book about Sugarbugs, rotters with horrible habits, fills a cavity in the children's book market.
Hi Internet! I'm Drew and THIS IS MY FACE.
If this GIF has ever brought you joy in the past, I humbly ask you to consider making a donation to the National MS Society. It would mean a lot to me and to those I know affected by the disease!

Clearly marked as Kitchen Roll, @evrisupportline, left this parcel rested half in/half out of the shed…in the pouring rain. Plenty of room for all of it to be safe and dry. @WhoGivesACrapTP should be their tagline.
This week is Oral Health Week in Reception, the children have enjoyed listening to the story `Open Wide` by Alex and Helen Rushworth. The children really enjoyed listening to the antics of the sugarbugs! @Sugarbugs
@oflynnsocial This is such an odd comment. Primary teeth are still teeth. They need twice daily brushing and a healthy diet.
They still decay, become abscessed and cause pain.
Instilling good habits at an early stage, we can give these children healthy teeth for life. And their children too
@JamesBullLabour It’s been like this for far too long. I used to do the BASCD surveys and general anaesthetics for tooth extraction. It’s why I wrote Open Wide… in an attempt to make a change.
10000 copies sold but so many more children could benefit 🦷💩📘🪥
@NHSSW Can the Sugarbugs help?
Open Wide…is a KS1 story book written by a dentist with over 25 years experience of paediatric dentistry. Designed to make kids laugh, make them say yuk and make them want to brush their teeth. Available in three sizes from goody bag to read-aloud. 🦷💩📘
@markinneswilli@Keir_Starmer When millions are spent each year to extract teeth under general anaesthetic, this is a really easy way to start a massive change. 🦷💩📘🪥
@TheBDA This is such a great thing to happen. 60,000 school days are lost every year due to poor dental health - so let’s give theses kids a chance to have better. And to pass better on to their children and their grandchildren. Change has to start somewhere.
📘💩🦷🪥
@DHSCgovuk@educationgovuk Open Wide… was part of @Keir_Starmer and @wesstreeting’s activities when they visited a school to talk dental health. We would love it to be a part of this campaign too.
Meeting KS1 curriculum goals and making children really want to brush. 🦷💩📘🪥
Fantastic to see @zmarshman talking about her research @ShefDentistry with @LeedsPaedDent regarding school based tooth brushing which has had funding to be implemented in areas of deprivation! 🦷 @BBCNews
@TheBDA@Editorkate2@EddieCrouch Would love to see the Sugarbugs as part of these schemes, making children want to brush their teeth and helping parents understand why.
