Went out to the least visited stretch of the Big Bend border sector in Hudspeth County where, despite the national park pause, wall construction is plowing full steam ahead. Far down a forgotten dusty washboard road, we found a massive staging area of freshly bladed desert--hundreds of acres--by far the largest I've ever seen for a wall construction project. Apocalyptic scenes happening out here, where seemingly no one is playing much attention.
$7 billion for this... All the while, we've seen more migrant apprehensions along smaller sections of the U.S.-Canada border than we have in the entire Big Bend Sector.
