The book stores here aren't very diverse. I see some Japanese literature. But almost none from SEA or Africa or from less talked about cultures. I'd ask for classic black literature that is purely written by Africa based authors here but I have limited reach in this account.

I remember as a teenager wondering why I wasn't finding any classic literature from Africa, and literature written by people from the continent in general. I asked my mother about it as well. Its still remained the same, I haven't read anything by African authors till now.

Observational drawing I've lost my edge it seems. Truth be told, I have forgone practising, as it is quite time consuming. Especially things like still life studies. I could create 1 to 1 copies a few years back. So I need to get back to those.

I've pondered about my art for the past few weeks, areas that I need to improve on, what my strong points are etc. I really need to improve my draftsmanship. That's what has lead to me creating poor compositions as of late.

Observational drawings and color used to my strong suit. Coloring still seems like my strength. I don't need to spend much time tinkering with which colors mesh well together. There's almost no problem solving involved. The process seems totally intuitive (?)
