This type of gym has a ceiling design I refer to as a "basketball net" style. There's close to 20 gyms in the state that have a similar look, but this one & Harrisburg's Davenport Gym stick out.

This week we have the honor of teaching about civil rights in the home of a civil rights hero! C.T. Vivian, pictured on right, spent his early years in Macomb before working alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and leading nonviolent resistance during the Civil Rights Movement.

Huge shoutout to the Macomb High Concert Choir, under the direction of Melanie Butcher. They competed virtually Saturday in the IHSA Organizational 🎶 🎼 🎵 contest. The choir received a 1 rating (best) and were named “Best of Day” for Mixed Chorus! #mac185
