🚨 JUST IN: Mpuuri Aburi has resorted to a classic red herring.

While standing alongside President William Ruto, he asked why some communities never chanted "Wantam" when Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta were presidents, but are doing so now under Ruto and Kithure Kindiki.

A red herring is an argument designed to distract people from the real issue.

Instead of defending the government's record, the conversation is shifted to ethnicity and the past.

That is not an answer.

Every Kenyan president has faced criticism when citizens believed they were underperforming. That is the nature of democracy.

For example, Uhuru Kenyatta had to exit X. Despite supporting Raila, he lost.

The Constitution does not require Kenyans to support a leader simply because another leader from a different community once held office.

It guarantees every citizen the freedom to express political opinions, hold leaders accountable, and vote for change.

The real question is simple:

Has this government delivered on the promises it made to Kenyans?

If the answer is yes, defend the record.

If the answer is no, citizens have every democratic and constitutional right to demand change.

Performance, not ethnicity, is what earns another term.

That is how a constitutional democracy works.
