🚨 Forgery Allegations Rock Gaya Revenue Records: Disputed Registry, Jamabandi in Name of a Dead Person Raise Serious Questions

GAYA, BIHAR — Serious questions have been raised over the revenue administration in Gaya Sadar’s Mauza Kandi following allegations of a forged/disputed registration document, controversial jamabandi proceedings, and mutation approvals despite a long-pending partition dispute.

The disputed land—Old Khata No. 224, Plot No. 648 / New Khata No. 148, Plot No. 1187, Thana 190—is the subject of Partition Suit No. 219/2007, which remains pending before the competent court.

According to the complaint, DM (Administration), DCLR and CO had already filed Counter Affidavits before the Patna High Court concerning the revenue dispute. Despite this, Mutation Case Nos. 242/ 270/271/272/273/and 336/2026-27 were approved on 08 June 2026.

The most serious allegation concerns the creation of a jamabandi on the basis of an allegedly forged/disputed registration document, with the complaint further alleging that a person who had reportedly died around 50 years ago was shown as present in the CO's proceedings.

A complaint was subsequently submitted before the DCLR, Gaya Sadar, vide Letter No. 1298 dated 22 July 2026, but the complainant alleges that no effective point-wise action has yet been taken.

Was a disputed jamabandi approved on 08.06.2026 by showing a person who died nearly 50 years ago as alive/present in the records?

Serious allegations have emerged regarding land at Mauza Kandi, Gaya Sadar. Partition Suit Nos. 219/2007 and 324/2026 are already pending before the court, yet the CO allegedly approved disputed jamabandis/mutations.

The matter also refers to Patna HC CWJC No.11621/2014, government counter-affidavits, the pending litigation, and DCLR Gaya’s directions dated 22.07.2026. It is alleged that no effective action followed.
