স্বাধীনতা দিবস উপলক্ষে রাজভবনের চা চক্রে মাননীয় রাজ্যপাল মহোদয় আমাকে আমন্ত্রণ জানিয়েছিলেন, কিন্তু এদের সাথে দেখা হয়ে যাওয়ার সম্ভাবনা ও সৌজন্যতার বিড়ম্বনা সৃষ্টি হলে, আমার ছোট্ট ডাক্তার বোনটির বিদেহী আত্মা হয়তো কষ্ট পেতো। তাই আমন্ত্রণ রক্ষা করা সম্ভব হয় নি।

During the Election Process and after the Results were declared, Opposition Political Workers; especially the @BJP4Bengal Karyakartas are being targeted in West Bengal.
This time the ones facing the wrath of the Ruling TMC Party are the grassroot level BJP Workers, Polling and Counting Agents and even the vocal Voters/Supporters of the Rural belt and Urban Slum areas.

As a responsible Leader of the Opposition, I have approached the Constitutional Authorities such as the Governor, NHRC, Women's Commission, ST & SC Commission, Home Secretary of Govt of India, and have duly apprised them and intimated them about the miserable condition of thousands of BJP Karyakartas.
I have tried my bit to make shelter homes functional for those Karyakartas who have been rendered shelter less in the aftermath of the violence which ensued after the declaration of 2024 Election Results. I have met thousands of distressed people in the past week and have tried to offer help according to my limited capacity.

I have even knocked on the door of Judiciary and have duly filed a Public Interest Litigation in this regard.

I am grateful that Hon'ble Governor has agreed to meet and witness the plight of those who have suffered and are still suffering. Today along with hundreds of victims, I will be meeting the Hon'ble Governor at the Raj Bhavan at 4pm.
