@StudentOTs hmm someone can correct me, happily😂 but generally supervising others (all grades below 6), taking on students, being a preceptor supporting NQ’s, running in-service training sessions, leading on more complex pts, doing audits & additional duties in teams dedicated to B6 only.

@sarahahpmh We also provide falls prevention advice and put necessary support into place such as community alarms etc & if this doesn’t work we do have falls prevention service who have a more specialised approach to address pts fear of falling.

community work can be intense at times but when a pt is excited to tell me they were able to shower independently today after on going rehab input, it makes it worth it 👏

@sarahahpmh That is true Sarah; that’s why OTs/PTs in the community work closely with pts who lack confidence with transfers/ mobility due to a fear of falling we try to address this as best we can with hope to help increase a persons confidence & regain independence.
