In connection with the Special Intensive Revision for electoral rolls (SIR-2026), the second meeting of BLO & BLA-2 and Chunav Pathsala at every polling station has been scheduled for 14.07.2026 as per the Commission's directions. This meeting is to take place during the second week of the enumeration phase and will involve discussion on
1. list of unmapped electors
2. discussions over preparation and
finalization of ASDD list
3. verification of absent/untraceable
electors & marking of uncollectable
forms through BLO app.
4. an appeal for active participation of
electors, representatives of political
parties, social workers etc.

In the light of the above, a meeting was held, today on 13.07.2026, with the representatives of recognized political parties and their authorized person (BLA-1) of the 09-Jamtara AC and were informed about the meeting scheduled for tomorrow at each polling station.
Additionally, the information displayed on the poster was read out and it was emphasized that everyone's cooperation is essential to ensure the success of the SIR-2026. Published in March 2024 by Westland, ‘Broken Promises: Caste, Crime and Politics in Bihar’ by Mrityunjay Sharma was initially positioned as a research-heavy account of the ‘90s era, showing how aspirations of dignity and representation collided with weak institutions and spiralling crime. Sharma, who grew up in Ranchi when it was still part of undivided Bihar, wove together personal memories, historical context and political contradictions. The stories struck a chord. They resurrected the very anecdotes many Bihari families had whispered about for years.
