Day 19 of #66DaysOfData!
Relaxing a little bit today, but will be spending some time learning more about Docker. This is something I really would like to have a better understanding of!
Please let me know any good resources you've found!
Day 11 of #66DaysOfData!
Today will be all about application!
I will be:
- Brushing up on basic regression techniques (Hands On ML Book)
- Applying pipelines and regression to the housing prices dataset on kaggle!
Day 10 of #66DaysOfData!
Today I will be reviewing:
- Basic Matplotlib/ seaborn functionality (kaggle micro course)
- Simple classification models (Hands on Machine learning)
Day 9 of the #66DaysOfData!
Yesterday life got in the way so I only got about 15 minutes of pipeline study in.
Today I will be:
- Reviewing more pipeline docs that people graciously sent me
- Taking the pandas kaggle micro course!
Remember, everyone has lulls and low motivation days. If you just were able to squeak out your 5 minutes, be proud that you got that done. No point kicking yourself while you're down #66daysofdata!
Day 5️⃣ of #66daysofdata
I listed to I'm hooked on AI for Good: clean water access in Africa on @Castbox_fm. Check out this episode. #podcasts#audiobooks#castbox https://t.co/LQlGX1JMIL
Also, continued working on Hands-on Machine Learning notebook on ch 2.
@Data_manc@matplotlib Hey! It’s a campaign initiative by @KenJee_DS where you’ve to basically devote 5 minutes to data science everyday in order to create a habit for a lifetime. You can join his discord channel and check out his YouTube channel for some cool stuff!
Day 6 of #66DaysOfData!
Today I will be working my way through:
- The remainder of the Intro to Machine learning Kaggle micro course.
- Understanding datetime formats a bit better
- Building out a study plan for next week
Day 5 of #66DaysOfData!
Time to play with some pandas 🐼
To Do:
- Go through first two modules of the intro to machine learning kaggle micro course
- Work my way through the pandas "User Guide" in the package documentation
(resources in reply)
I will also be doing the following:
- Reading the first chapter of Hands-On Machine learning
- Exploring basic python using the Housing Price data set
- Presenting to @DataScienceNIG on opportunities in data science!
#66daysofdata
Day 2 of #66DaysOfData!
Today I am finishing up the @kaggle python micro course!
I didn't get to all of the dictionary questions and external libraries so I will finish those today. I still got my 5 minutes + of studying in though!
(continued in thread)
Had an awesome interview with Tina Huang who recently landed a data science job at a FANG company. Highly recommend listening to her advice on how to work "smarter not harder" in this process!

📅Day 1 of #66daysofdata
Domain knowledge is extremely important in the data world. As I am quite new to the function I am in with my current role, I am studying basic accounting.
Terms I learned:
- Assets
- Liabilities
- Equities
A huge thanks to @KenJee_DS for starting this!
Following @KenJee_DS doing #66daysofdata. Trying out the kaggle python micro-courses to re-establish some good data habits! Machines shouldn't be the only thing learning around here.
Had a successful day one! of #66daysofdata
Some things I learned / had forgotten:
- help() is so useful!
- I've always struggled with List comprehensions. They are very useful for data science, and I will be using them more now that I am more comfortable with how they work!
