I'm privileged to have access to a lot of support but I'm still getting past the trauma of knowing that we still have to remind people that anti-Asian racism exists. The fear I & so many others feel every day should be proof enough.

I hope awareness of anti asian racism continues. I’ve found it my calling to write soulful Asian characters, partly to make it that much harder to dismiss or ignore real Asians' dreams and concerns. And fighting anti Asian hate is inextricably linked to BLM, never at odds.
