@pangalactic Honestly even as a noob, I was never going to read one of those multi-paragraph introductions to what an RPG is. This might be a bit *too* brief but honestly I think the "what is an rpg" genre needs a shake up and a pruning
Like any large social/artistic term, there is no simple and singular definition of the OSR. What matters most imo is that regardless of the label, bigotry is unacceptable. Call my stuff OSR, NSR, or whatever you want but it's not for bigots.

the DnD movie was really fun but made 2 wild decisions i can't stop thinking about. 1. the opening scene is like 'here's this character whose a buff lady. i wonder what would happen if someone threatened sexual violence on her'
2. the dead wife. it sort of fits in the ‘PC with a tragic backstory’ way but they literally could have been splicing in clips from tiktok parodies of the dead wife under the white bed sheets & standing in the breezy room with the sun behind her. wild decisions by the film makers
