Lanna came under Burmese rule in like 1558 and Burmese rule over Chiang Mai ended in 1774-1775 while the Yadanarbon era began in 1853. The costumes they wear in the Series are from Yadanarbon era. Time travel to Myanmar by jumping Eras? 🤔🤏
#RespectMyanmarCulture
We've been speaking up against them for 10 days already and all we received back is how they look down our country, disrespect to our culture and plain rude words. Till today they think they're not wrong. Some outsiders called us annoying. All we did was speak up for ourselves.
@GMMTV Are you seriously going to keep refusing to honestly admit that you incorporated Burmeseculture? You can't just keep deflecting and making it all about Lanna culture or a cultural blend. That is Konbaung dynasty attire,we're telling you.A peacock is a peacock, and a crow is a crow.
Myanmar owns this look — Thailand just borrowed the spotlight. 🇲🇲✨
When Thailand shows up claiming the elegant white jacket, gold jewelry, patterned train, and royal vibe…
Myanmar has been wearing the real thing (htaingmathein + htamein with acheik weave) since the Konbaung days. The jacket even has a practical flex: it was designed so it doesn’t wrinkle when you sit.
The original fashion house just clocked in. Respect the source. 👑

Happy Thadingyut Festival to the people of Myanmar!
Known as Myanmar’s Festival of Lights, Thadingyut marks the end of Buddhist Lent (Vassa). Celebrated across the country, the festival sees homes, streets, and pagodas illuminated with candles and colourful lights, symbolising the return of the Lord Buddha from the celestial realm. The festival is also an occasion for families to pay respect to parents, teachers, and elders.
