I'm a big fan of the "GPS Theory" when you miss a turn, your GPS doesn't judge you, it recalculates. No matter how many detours you take, it finds another way forward. Life works like that too. You'll make mistakes, but your destination doesn't vanish. The route just changes.

But as per Indian liberals, art and sports have no boundaries.
Imagine educated young people who earned their positions through sheer hard work losing their lives simply because a few corrupt bureaucrats chose to profit from corruption and fund their children's education abroad.
Just saw this reel on Instagram.
I have to say, blinkit is doing something truly incredible. providing an ambulance in just 5 minutes with world class facilities, completely free, can genuinely save lives
Can we take a moment to appreciate @letsblinkit and everyone making this possible, the drivers, medical staff, doctors, engineers, and every person working behind the scenes?
Another shocking accident outside a club in Chandigarh's Sector 26. A speeding Mercedes allegedly rammed into two young men and fled the spot. Both victims suffered serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital.
Just a few days ago a violent fight broke out outside the clubs. In another incident shots were even fired.
How many more incidents will it take before the authorities wake up and act?
That central minister along with the babus has literally devoured this city.
The tender for this road was probably issued 4–5 times, and he, along with the babus allegedly pocketed the money each time.

🚨 Noida Authority

G. COURT CASES
There were several PILS and cases filed to investigate this aspect by human rights organisations and family members against the alleged excesses between 1985 and 2000.
The importance of this is that this matter has been fully adjudicated right up to the Supreme court of India, and thus it is NOT OPEN for commentators to twist the truth.
1. The number of dead/ missing / cremated has been finalised by HC, SC, CBI , NHRC, HRW and even Ensaaf . In all calculations , it has not gone beyond 5200 across Punjab.
Hence the exaggerated figure of 25000 is untenable.
2. Whilst I hold no brief for K.P.S.GIll, or anyone else (other than the truth) his name was added to the proceedings by the Petitioners, to be investigated by the authorities.
NO MATERIAL WAS FOUND AGAINST KPS GILL, he WAS DISCHARGED OF ALL CHARGES BY THE SUPREME COURT OF INDIA.
The very same court that upheld the enhanced sentences against the 6 Police officers, in a landmark case filed by Mrs.Khalra.
Thus, it should be nobody's case that KPS Gill was the man behind the tragedy.
3. The most prominent cases and petitions filed include:
a. The Punjab Mass Cremations Case (Paramjit Kaur v. State of Punjab): Filed by the Committee for Information and Initiative on Punjab (CIIP) and the Punjab Human Rights Organization (PHRO),
This landmark PIL was brought before the Supreme Court regarding the illegal, mass cremation of thousands of unidentified bodies by the Punjab Police.
The Supreme Court designated the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to investigate, which eventually ordered compensation for hundreds of victims in 2012.
b. The Jaswant Singh Khalra Abduction Case: Filed by human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra (who was later abducted and murdered in 1995), this case exposed the mass disappearances of Sikh youth.
This triggered extensive investigations by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) under the supervision of the Supreme Court, leading to the conviction of several police officers.
c. Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch Interventions: While formal PILs can only be filed in Indian courts, international watchdogs like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch filed extensive documented reports and formal petitions to the Indian government, which continuously pushed for judicial accountability and an end to impunity under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA).
d. Misc Writ Petitions filed in the Punjab & Haryana High Court
Yet to date, no one has looked into the tens of thousands of Hindus and other Civilians (including Sikhs) who were killed in Punjab during those years.
No one has done a Nanavati-type commission, as was done for the 1984 Sikh Pogrom, and its time that we as a Nation confront our demons head on.
We have weak governments and weaker leaders, who use these faultlines to drive divisions between religions, castes, and creeds to win elections.
We dont have anyone to make movies to show the other side of terror, that's why the propaganda always wins. That's why 41 years after Kanishka we still have Khalistani BS that tries to rewrite history and change it into Khalistani false propaganda that "India bombed its own plane", or a Diljit who comes around saying that only Police killed the Sikhs in Punjab, ignoring the bloodshed by the Khalistani terrorists against Hindus and Sikhs.
I hope that someone somewhere in Bollywood has the balls to stand up and say lets do it, I will drop everything and run to shine a light on the truth, on all those dark years.
JAI HIND 🙏🫡🇮🇳
PS: Note the pics and the banners & offices behind Mr.Khalra.

B. FAKES; FACTUAL ERRORS & OMISSIONS
1. The film glosses over & denies the terrorism of Khalistanis during that period, instead focussing on a one sided narrative.
2. It evades the 25000 + Hindus, Sikhs and Police who were murdered by the Pakistani-backed Khalistanis during that time
3. It fails to mention or catalogue the history of brutal rapes, killings and burnings of Hindus and Sikh-Hindu sympathisers, school teachers, and government servants by Khalistanis in Punjab.
4. FAKE SCENES - THAT NEVER HAPPENED –
The movie is full of fake (fictional) scenes, which never happened in real life, yet the audience is led to believe they are real.
One of the most chilling scenes in the movie is where DSP Anand (Actor Suryender Vicky) comes to the cop's house (Satnam Singh- Khalra's friend) with 2 terrorists, eats a home-cooked meal, and then allegedly kills them all.
As per research, NO SUCH INCIDENT ever occurred during that period. No such incident was ever reported by Khalra, no such incident was mentioned in the NHRC report, or the ENSAAF report or even in the writ petitions before the High Court or the SLP before the Supreme Court. In fact, such an incident does not exist even in the Amnesty International report.
It is a figment of the imagination of Honey Trehan and Diljit Dosanjh done probably for cinematic license. It is meant to shock and awe the audience into revulsion against the Punjab police and the Indian state.
I shall happily stand corrected if the makers can show any such incident on record, with proof.
THERE ARE AT LEAST 4 SUCH MAJOR FICTIONAL INCIDENTS IN THE MOVIE.
5. Sutluj glorifies and fetes the bombers of Sardar Beant Singh, and fabricates stories about his assassins to enhance their legend as victims of an alleged government-planned pogrom against Sikhs in Punjab. When in fact it was the terrorists vs the Police.
To justify the heinous bombing of the ex-CM, Sardar Beant Singh, it depicts the bomber (Dilawar Singh) allegedly visiting Satnam's house after his family is killed (in that fake dinner scene), then getting angry, and in the next scene, rushing to bomb Beant Singh, thereby giving a classic cause-and-effect justification for the bombing. (watch from 01:00;02 in the movie)
The truth is farthest from that.
Dilawar Singh, the bomber, was part of the Babbar Khalsa (a terrorist group responsible for the Kanishka bombing and many other terror acts)
The other Babbar Khalsa conspirators were Balwant Singh Rajoana ; Jagtar Singh Hawara ; Lakhwinder Singh ; Shamsher Singh ; Gurbachan Singh ; and Navjot Singh.
The investigators even believed there was foreign funding and support, but the case never focused on that.
The Babbar Khalsa had conceived and planned the killing of Beant Singh 10-11 months before Aug 1995. They had recruited, radicalised & indoctrinated Dilawar as an insider over months and finally executed the plan on 31/8/1995.
All were convicted and given life imprisonment, except Rajoana, who was given a death sentence, which has since been stayed.
6. It selectively notes the court cases whilst twisting the facts placed before the Courts, and picking and choosing what to show the world.
7. It Fails to mention or catalogue the history of brutal rapes, killings and burnings of Hindus and Hindu sympathisers by Khalistanis in Punjab.
6. Manipulation of Casualty and Number Claims, the film contends that 25,000 cases of alleged secret cremations & extrajudicial killings took place
Whereas even in the Supreme Court case, the SC has taken on record no more than 2097 deaths, and other sources a total of 4000.
In fact, even Ensaaf (an independent US-Sikh org), run by Sukhman Dhami & Jaskaran Kaur, did a state-wide investigation along with Human Rights Watch, using the official 2001 census of Punjab, India, with census codes for each village, town, or city, to identify over 12,000 villages and urban areas.
Field researchers approached each village and identified victim families by canvassing the village, relying on several consistently present sources of information in each village: past and current village heads (Sarpanch) came to the figure of 5317 across Punjab.
7. The movie claims “IT'S ABOUT THE BIGGEST GENOCIDE THIS COUNTRY HAS EVER SEEN” - which is FARTHEST from the truth.
Firstly, the killings, abductions and cremations were unforgivable crimes, but to call it the biggest genocide is debatable.
Under the UN genocide convention, genocide refers to the intentional destruction of a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group by another.
The movie itself has depicted the Punjab Police who were killing the Sikhs in Punjab.
Let me emphasise that even a single killing or abduction is reprehensible. Not to trivialise any killing or abduction, as they are all humans and matter to us, in this instance, the number by the SC was 2097 bodies in the Court case of
Paramjit Kaur v. State of Punjab (Dec 12, 1996)
"The CBI's final report findings were :
585 fully identified bodies ; 274 partially identified bodies; 1,238 unidentified bodies (2097)
~In Tarn Taran district alone, the CBI confirmed 2,097 illegal cremations (1993–1994).
~The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) accepted compensation claims for 2,097 families in Tarn Taran.
~ Khalra himself admitted that he had extrapolated the numbers based on Taran Taran and the other two adjoining districts, and ASSUMED a figure of 25,000 across Punjab.
~This was the most important hold-up with the Censor Board (CBFC), as the number submitted by the film-makers was 25000 alleged secret cremations and extrajudicial killings. CBFC wanted them to say it was 4000.
8. Selective Historical Representation
The film's narrative presents a very selective one-sided account of Punjab's insurgency era. It assumes that state atrocities are only against Sikhs but ignores the larger issue of terrorist/insurgents' violence against all religions, which was twice as much as alleged police excesses.
9. Fictionalisation of Sensitive Events
The makers have deeply fictionalised high-profile events during that period, starting with the assassination of ex CM of Punjab, Sardar Beant Singh.
The movie has romanticised the killers' backgrounds & families in an effort to whitewash and glorify their actions, without any publicly established evidence.
It is a dramatisation of sensitive historical events done to fit a specific narrative, departing from the historical legal records.

A. FACTS ABOUT JASWANT SINGH KHALRA
1. The movie stemmed from the passion and desire of
@HoneyTrehan & @diljitdosanjh to make a movie about a "legendary hero" of Punjab, Shri Jaswant Singh Khalra. In this endeavour, they have selectively chosen to exclude most of his anti-India and separatist aspects.
Perhaps the greatest omission or blackout by Sutluj the movie is Khalras' separatist background.
No doubt Mr.Khalra was a bank officer who began looking for two persons & then stumbled onto a larger crime in 1993.
However, the fact that Jaswant Singh Khalra was a Khalistani who had separatist leanings, and idolised Bhindranwale since the 1980s, has been concealed from the audience, to paint a charitable image of a Human rights activist, and leave the separatist image out of the movie. (See video)
2. JASWANT SINGH KHALRA - had separatist leanings since before Operation Bluestar. This has been proven and also admitted by his wife Bibi Paramjit Kaur in multiple TV interviews, she states in the (1984 tribute) to Sikh Nation
" Straight after Operation Blue Star, (1984) he ignored all curfews and became active. For 10-15 days, he was always in and out of the house; he was always attending meetings. For this reason, he also spent a night in a police station, and he was also once shot from a helicopter, but that did not stop anything."
3. KHALRA WAS THE EDITOR OF THE LIBERATION KHALISTAN MAGAZINE
In the early 1990s, Khalra founded and edited the “Liberation Khalistan” magazine, a UK based international magazine, that was designed to take the voice of the separatists to the world.
4. KHALRA BEGAN HUNTING FOR BODIES IN 1993 - but had Khalistani leanings since before 1984 (BLUESTAR)
Bibi Paramjit Kaur has also, in the same interview, stated that the police had arrested Bhai Piara Singh and Bhai Amrik Singh Matewal who were from his group, and that is how Jaswant Singh Khalra began his hunt for bodies in 1993.
5. EVEN BEFORE HE SEARCHED FOR BODIES in 1993, KHALRA SPOKE OF A FREE KHALISTAN (in 1990, 91, 92)
“The call of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Bhindranwale for Khalistan was cultivated within them through their pursuit of learning Gurbani. For this reason, their activities for Khalistan had the seal of Gurbani, they would ask every Sikh to attach themselves to Gurbani to become a Khalistani.”
by Shaheed Bhai Jaswant Singh Ji, ‘Liberation Khalistan’, Year 1, Issue 1, Jan 1992
6. KHALRA WAS ALWAYS FOR RADICAL SEPARATION OF INDIA
Baaznews whilst posting Khalra's Feb 1992 article prefaces it - "Bringing his thoughts on Sikh liberation to the foreground, this article shatters the manufactured image of Bhai Jaswant Singh as an apolitical activist by illustrating his deep commitment to radical transformation and Sikh resistance."
7. KHALRA CONSORTED WITH THE WSO & UK SIKH ORGANISATIONS -
Both organisations were banned for their separatist and terrorists leanings, and they supported and funded Khalras trips and speaking assignments. His attendance at parliamentary dinners at Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver, London, Birmingham, Frankfurt and Berlin, were bankrolled by these separtist organisations.
His linkage with the NDP & WSO in Canada, who were prime sympathisers of the Khalistani movement, was ample evidence of his own leanings.
Ironically, even Diljit Dosanjh and the SUTLUJ movie have relied on the same organisations for help and support to make it.
8. KHALRA HIMSELF WROTE -
"no Sikh jathebandi has been able to establish the electoral path as the unequivocal means to liberate Khalistan, many are busy advocating for participation as a stepping stone"
"The unique situation we are facing is that the Sikh qaum has been waging a relentless struggle for independence. In response, India’s Hindu state is waging war against Sikhs in the name of the “unity and integrity” of India."
"We can release Sikh political prisoners and gain other concessions which will further strengthen the Khalistan movement. If such amenities and concessions could help strengthen and support the Khalistan movement, then such limited facilities were available for thirty years from 1947 to 1977 but Khalistan was not formed then"
"If we are willing to adopt the immoral standards of Brahmanism in order to “win” the election, then we should immediately accept we are not living up to the high standards of Sikhi."
"every candidate must swear by the weight of their conscience that they fully accept the Constitution of India and will work to uphold and abide by it. Upon winning the election, the candidate must swear again that they will protect the Indian Constitution in order to take their seat in the assembly.
If we take the name of the Khalsa panth and approve the practice of taking false oaths, then we do not deserve any right to comment on the moral bankruptcy of Brahmanism. "
"In such conditions, even if we were to win every election or create our own state, we will still not be able to give the people anything different from India’s Brahminical society. Even before Khalistan was formed, we would have already conceded moral defeat by adopting this compromised path. So, let us commit to fighting our battle till victory according to the high and truthful standards of our dharam."
More than 50,000 freedom fighters have made the ultimate sacrifice for Khalistan. About 50,000 Khalistani heeray (diamonds) have been languishing in jails for years. Many are waiting to kiss the rope at the gallows. Bhai Satwant Singh and Bhai Kehar Singh have surpassed even Sarabha and Bhagat Singh. More than 500,000 Indian Army and countless more paramilitary forces are hunting Sikh naujawan day and night.
7. HE WAS ALLEGEDLY A FOUNDER MEMBER OF the “KHALISTAN LIBERATION MOVEMENT INTERNATIONAL”
The Khalistan Liberation Movement International was supposed to be a movement that stemmed from his UK-based magazine and was to raise funds for the cause overseas. However, to be fair, barring a few historical references, there is not enough material to substantiate the claim completely, though there are photos and posters of him at the office and releasing material in the UK on behalf of the KLMI.
I could write pages and pages more from his own collective writings dating back to the 1990s BEFORE the 1993 cremations, but the moot point is there is no doubt that Mr.Khalra was pro khalistani and campaigned for the separation of Punjab from India, and promoted that propaganda.
