@dparasole@sentantiq Well, they are the two biggest plot points of the 2004 film, which probably is where his whole understanding of the Iliad comes from
@epluribusuni@coopercooperco I think both of these ideas could definitely happen if there's some buildup that turns them into heartbreaking decisions that make sense within the character's thought-process. The issue with the show was that they just... happened
@Per5ie@NebsGoodTakes Every time i see someone talking about how he should have been the final boss of the dlc im reminded at the first time i saw his giant rotting frame, and it feels so much more powerful and unsettling than whatever boss they could have possibly came up with
@StayAtSam Ha yea fair, i guess im just struggling to understand why people were expecting godwyn to show up to the point where he feels ubiquitous to discussion of the dlc
@StayAtSam I understand why the miquella connection made people expect him in the dlc, but the fact that miquella tried to revive him and failed also is important to his character and the nature of his curse.
@StayAtSam I understand where you are coming from but the Godwyn storyline had reached its conclusion. He gets an ending, he's important to Ranni's questline, and the fact that he is unequivocally dead is central to what he represents.
