Karnataka's MP @Tejasvi_Surya is articulating brilliantly on India Today. Superb clarity of thoughts, giving solutions to Bengaluru 's infrastructure issues.

Some points I liked -

1) The tunnel road of ₹39,000 cr +, if replaced with a tunnel Metro project, it can move 60,000 people each way per hour, in place of just 600 cars. Brilliant point! No need for too much land too, especially the Lalbagh park land.

2) Karnataka Congress government hasn't given a single proposal to the central government in the last 3.5 years, expanding Bengaluru's Metro train project. That's sad.

3) As an MP he got Modi government's approval for the Orange line Metro (Ring road east to west) within hundred days of Modi 3.0. But the state government hasn't moved with civil tenders. Sad.

4) Only two officers are running Bengaluru. For 6.5 years since the last Mayor exited, no municipality election. It means a big setback for Bengaluru infrastructure. He even blamed BJP for their tenure.

5) He gave a good analogy. You can't make an obese person thinner by modifying his belt. The same way, just by expanding the width of roads, you can't solve Bengaluru's road problem. He gave the Bangkok example where 12 lane toll roads aren't solving.
