I'd really like to thank Ben Davidson (@SunWeatherMan) for inviting me out to Observer Ranch this weekend to give a couple of climate talks. It was an opportunity that I could not pass up. I had a great time; everyone on staff was fantastic. Good food. Good people. And best of all, I made a few new friends. Thanks to all of my fans who came out to see our talks (especially those who came a long way), and to all of Ben's fans who never heard of me that I got to introduce myself to. What changed from the last run where those poles went right to the equator? Are you using more or less dense LLSVPs for Roger's model. The problem with climate science and dark matter is dial-tuning... feels a little like what is happening here. This is why when your last one favored me I didn't make a big deal about it at all... these things are very cool to look at but my model does not at all exist in the world where plugging the normal numbers into a model can tell us anything. Roger's is exactly the same with core sloughing and the hypothesized chemistry changes at the CMB... can't plus that stuff in to mainstream solid earth physics and expect it to tell you any more than what would happen if you blend models with stuff that isn't actually in them.

I am glad everyone is talking, but we haven't talked nearly enough to be running anything.

If I had taken your last run and claimed something big it would have been misleading. The lack of reconciliation of the 16x energy req difference is misleading. Using mainstream solid earth physics is not really that helpful here. THAT is why we need to be discussing this stuff. The new pole positions are far less than 10% of the important questions a modeler should be asking.
