I can't believe Im going to share this story on my birthday...

When I completed the first full cut journey - 240 lbs to 159 lbs, I had never been so proud of myself. I was so happy, and I felt great, and I knew it was 100% natural, just hard work and consistent 1% wins for 7 straight years.

My parents were visiting that weekend I finished the cut. He told me I looked emaciated, and sick, and bad.

I knew I didn't. I had never looked or felt better. But damn... that hurt really badly. My dad is one of those guys where if it isn't music, golf, academics or traditional money-making he's just not proud of you.

I don't think I'll ever get over him saying that to me, and I hope I never lose that motivational tool.
