The Establishment climbed down over Boaty McBoatface and named that Polar vessel after Attenborough.
So are we saying Attenborough (who, let's face it, has had a very charmed life) is more worthy than Churchill?

Starmer says two tier policing is a far right attack. Let’s examine …
Christian PCSO Luke Salmons asked questions about Islam during a police diversity session where officers were told there were “no bad questions”.
He was suspended and accused of gross misconduct because of his questions. (Later cleared but I would say the process is the punishment)
With the new anti Muslim hate definition, would a Muslim officer have been treated the same way for asking questions about Christianity? Genuine question.
This Government does nothing to encourage marriage between a man and a woman and real support to have children within that framework. Otherwise there would not be such a high level of abortions in the UK circa 300,000 a year and therefore no excuse on having to rely on immigrants
'Marriage auto-enrolment' - the ultimate nanny state infantilisation.
The government is proposing that, if you have been living with a partner for three years, or have a child together, your partner will inherit your estate on your death, or have a claim to it on separation.
But this financial arrangement is already easily available to those who want and choose it - it's called marriage (or civil partnership).
Nick Ferrari: Would you take the knee for Henry Nowak?
David Lammy: I…I..I…errr…no, I don’t think the family are asking for symbolism.
Nick: So you agree taking the knee is mere symbolism?
Lammy: We were in a pandemic!
David Lammy’s hypocrisy on full view.
The government is watering down its promise of more state teachers. It is discovering its VAT move has landed it with a big bill as pupils transfer to state schools. Some private schools have to close, sacking their staff.
A poll was put out in 2016 to name a new £200million Polar vessel. 124,000 kids voted for Boaty McBoatface.
Officials felt the flippant name wasn't suitable for a serious scientific vessel, they overruled the public & officially named the main ship the RRS Sir David Attenborough
The Bank of England says British heros are too “divisive” and “elitist” for Britain’s banknotes?
“The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.”

'They are appalled to see a friend, a country they think very highly of, clearly having lost its way.'
Former MEP Douglas Carswell urges British politicians to listen to JD Vance's warnings on mass immigration, following the murder of Henry Nowak.
Having watched Question Time tonight, Rob Kenyon was not the walkover that many on the gloating Left were predicting and hoping for.
His first time on national TV obviously was accompanied by some nerves but he answered straightforwardly and honestly.
If he did not know an answer, he had the courage to say so, unlike so called professional politicians who would just waffle around it instead.
He also came across as a decent and down to earth bloke who knew his home area.
In October 2024, about 100 Labour party members traveled to the US to openly campaign for Kamala Harris. Now Starmer is very concerned that a statement from the Vice President is “interfering in [their] democracy”
SHOCKING
"Prevent is about terrorism & radicalisation.
The first slide said 'Radicalisation - the Far Right'
He said to me this is our only concern, the far right.
This is in a Secondary school!
Next slide showed pictures of people holding up the English flag & marching with it"
A friend of mine sent me this text message, regarding her friend who got a job at a secondary school:
“Charlotte, I have to share something with you because it’s just driving me mad and you might even be able to share it with people that matter.
I’ve just started a job in a school a secondary school and I had to have an hours training in safeguarding the children.
The last bit and arguably the most important bit of the training was labelled Prevent.
As you know, Prevent is about terrorism and radicalisation.
The first slide said radicalisation with a dash- the far right
And that’s all that was mentioned nothing else he said to me this is our only concern the far right
this is in a secondary school!
The next slide showed pictures of people holding up the English flag and marching with it nothing was said just look at the pictures
The trainer then said key figures are Andrew Tate and watch the series Adolescence and you will see that the middle class parents are also one of the main problems here.
What any of that has to do with an actual far right movement? I’ve no idea I’ve seen Adolescence. It’s about in cells and male chauvinists etc . That’s not the far right. I was just gobsmacked. This is happening in schools. There was no mention of any other type of radicalisation only white boys and the far right I knew id lose the job if I said anything but wtf !?!?!”
Is this another example of a two tier system, more poisonous divisive indoctrination?
A thoughtful take by Tony Sewell. Most people just want fairness. The job of the police is to catch criminals and prevent crime not to address historic social harms
One of the things I think that's getting lost in the current "two tier" discussions is the growing perception that the police are more interested in culture than crime...
So five armed officers go to arrest a comedian getting off a plane (one of the few places you can be confident your "suspect" won't be armed)
Heavy handed responses to what people write on X rather than dealing with violent shoplifting
People getting shorter sentences for the worst crimes against children than for "hate" speech
Allowing pro Palestinian marches to go through Jewish communities but restricting Reform marches
Then we have politicians agitating about the "far right" when for the most part it's people saying r@pe gangs should be properly investigated and illegal immigrants shouldn't get a better standard of living with luxury hotels and same day dental care than British citizens do
Until @UKLabour recognises the real anger is because people increasingly feel the criminal justice system and so many aspects of the way the state interacts with them has become essentially unfair the anger will grow
It doesn't need stoking. People aren't angry because @Nigel_Farage told them to be. They are angry because the state isn't working and when they complain, the government essentially calls them Nazis

Where were @DavidLammy messages to Mandelson? He was Foreign Secretary at the time of the appointment. I am struggling to think why his messages weren’t published? 🤷🏼♂️
Iain, the will is absent for a precise reason. The coalition that keeps Labour in power is the same coalition that benefits from the system remaining unchanged. The public sector unions. The NGOs. The diversity consultancies. The community organisations. The bloc votes in urban constituencies. Every one of them has a financial or political interest in the continuation of the framework. Mahmood's Birmingham Ladywood constituency is a precise example. Two thirds of her constituents come from an ethnic minority background. Her political survival depends on the framework she is now pretending to question from the despatch box.
A party that dismantles the ideology that produced its own electoral coalition does not survive the next election. That is why the will is absent. The majority is real. The incentive to use it is not.
Oh look here’s a Labour MP spreading misinformation that Nigel Farage is a “danger to democracy”
Er … and then says misinformation needs to stop. She should start with herself.
Smearing political opponents as a danger to democracy is the actual danger to democracy 💣
