This is the start of a new chapter towards making Britain better off.
Only by taking the tough decisions now, can we deliver our long-term plan for a brighter future.
We’re underway with the biggest transfer of power and resources to the people of the North East, from Westminster in a generation.
We’re creating real opportunity. New jobs, new homes and training across our region.
And this is just the start.
