@drgswander I only use 1,000 IU if deficient and they used 2,000 IU daily which is really high. Also goal Vit D level is 30-50. If higher should stop the supplement. If lower can start 1,000 IU daily and recheck in 3 months.

@drgswander Can’t read whole study b/c I’m not at work but looks like it studies cancer and CVD only. Vit D is important to check and supplement for pts w osteoporosis, kidney disease, and other related conditions. Also dose used is higher than even repletion dose which is 1,000 IU/day.
