@madthak1 Pit latrines have given rise to worry about contamination of groundwater. However, in recent years the technology of twin pits has come up which is known to prevent this contamination. Hopefully, it will be adapted increasingly.
@madthak1 Thanks a lot. The data on percentage of usable toilets will be hard to get. And yes if they are not really usable that will come in the way of behavioural change.
The WHO report on sanitation states that India is one of the 30 countries on track to achieving universal access to sanitation. I look at the progress achieved through Swachch Bharat Mission and its implications on health, economy, and society.
