A new “Babu” from Delhi is in Punjab, assessing Punjab Government schools with full-fledged support.
Mr. Kejriwal is thanking him for bringing the lack of amenities to his notice and assuring that the government will work to improve them. That is certainly appreciable.
But when Punjab journalists report the FACTS from the ground, why aren’t they thanked? Why are they labelled “propagandists”?
Or do Delhi “Babus” have some special vision that allows them to see what Punjab journalists apparently cannot?

आज झज्जर जिले की जिला विकास समन्वय एवं निगरानी समिति 'DISHA' की बैठक में बहादुरगढ़ में सबसे ज्यादा 39 सफाई कर्मचारियों की बर्खास्तगी पर कड़ी आपत्ति दर्ज कर आला अधिकारियों को तलब कर जवाब मांगा कि किसके आदेश पर सफाई कर्मचारियों को बर्खास्त किया गया? जवाब में अधिकारियों ने बताया कि यह ऊपर से आदेश आए थे!

अपने जायज हकों की मांग कर रहे कर्मचारियों को पक्का करने की बजाय सरकार उनकी रोजी-रोटी ही छीन रही है। बैठक में ही प्रशासन और BJP सरकार को हिदायत दी कि सफाई कर्मचारियों के खिलाफ कोई भी दंडात्मक कार्रवाई या उत्पीड़न किसी भी कीमत पर स्वीकार्य नहीं है।

हमारी मांग है कि बहादुरगढ़ सहित प्रदेश के सभी बर्खास्त सफाई कर्मचारियों को तुरंत प्रभाव से बहाल किया जाए और कांग्रेस सरकार के समय बनी पक्का करने की नीति के अनुसार सभी को पक्का करे सरकार।

Punjab civic polls: The results are a boost for the AAP ahead of the 2027 assembly battle. However, there is little room for complacency. Punjab’s electoral history indicates that voters tend to back the ruling party in civic polls and byelections, but these results are not always a reliable indicator of the state’s political mood. According to Ashutosh Kumar, professor of political science at Panjab University, Chandigarh, voters often avoid antagonising the government in civic polls and byelections to prevent exclusion from welfare schemes andneglect of their areas. “There are several instances where the incumbent party swept civic polls and then lost the assembly polls a few months later,” said the political analyst, who has closely tracked elections in Punjab since 2002.
