💰 The Home Office has signed off a £539 million contract to register and process illegal migrants.

We are constantly told there isn’t enough money.

❌ Not enough money for homeless veterans.
❌ Not enough money for pensioners choosing between heating and eating.

Yet somehow there is half a billion pounds available for this.

I’m not interested in blaming the people arriving illegally, we have incentivised them, why wouldn’t they come?

The issue is our country’s priorities.

By all means be compassionate.

But surely compassion should start with our own homeless, vulnerable and elderly first.

This shouldn’t be controversial.

🚨 Enfield residents have to wait almost 5 years for a council home.

That comes directly from the council’s latest FOI response to me.

They revealed:

❌ Residents must wait 4 years and 8 months on average
❌ Nearly 8,000 households are currently on the housing waiting list

Remember, this is a London borough that has recently signed up to become a “sanctuary borough”.

So while thousands of local residents wait years for housing…

…those arriving illegally and allowed to stay, are often prioritised for accommodation immediately.

How exactly is that fair on the people of Enfield?
