There's growing evidence that emotional dysregulation is a core symptom of ADHD,
and this makes me happy because it goes a long way to validate my experiences growing up as a young ADHD'er who was constantly being bulled over by their own emotions
I feel like ADHD and/or autistic people are more susceptible to toxic productivity culture.
From a young age, we're broken down to think we're lazy or the way we naturally do things is wrong. Then there's this nice "simple" narrative for us to grab onto: productivity culture
The most ridiculous part is that I was going to remain with Xfinity regardless of this new company coming in until all of this. They absolutely tried to take advantage of me. I'm disgusted and infuriated. #Xfinity
Breaking my Twitter hiatus to talk about the predatory monster that is #Xfinity. Somehow ended up on autopay without wanting to be. First agent says payment has cleared, nothing they can do. Second agent says payment is pending. Someone is immediately lying.
Beyond done with @Xfinity. One scam after another after another. Taking advantage of someone who is already upset. There's another company laying cable in my neighborhood right now. Definitely checking them out, because Xfinity is downright predatory.
@danceswithfat Yup. They told me to cut out red meat and to only eat dairy sparingly. They didn't really have a response when I said I was vegan at the time. They told me to exercise more. I was an ultramarathoner then too, running multiple miles per day.
Fat People: Raise your hand if you've been told to "eat less and exercise more" by a healthcare provider who hadn't bothered to ask what you eat, or how much you exercise. Even if dieting did work (and it doesn't) practicing stereotypes instead of medicine would still be wrong.
@TittyTweeter000@Lexxohm@quiddie This is the same comment everyone else is making. I stopped replying after the 5th time. Feel free to read my other responses if you actually care. I have nothing to prove to you.
@JamieCox1995@Paladinbob123@Lexxohm@quiddie While still wearing jewels worth more than I will make in my lifetime, guarding antiquities stolen from other countries. Some performative hand-waving means very little.
@HowellsHowells9 @Lexxohm@quiddie I dedicate the vast majority of my time to volunteering and donate as much as I possibly can. I work very hard to dismantle discriminatory systems and use what little privilege I have to lift others up. The opinions of internet strangers mean very little. I know who I am.
@plkcnty85 @Lexxohm@quiddie I wouldn't say that all Americans are living a life of luxury and obscene wealth. However, I'm also of the opinion that everyone who has more than they need should be actively helping others to the full extent of their power.
