Today, our lunch provider Chartwells came in to do some food tasting with each class. After discussing the different food groups, we made and tasted chocolate hummus. It was delicious!
Class 4 are thoroughly enjoying their history project with Northern Heartlands time detectives, finding out about Sunnybrow and Willington in the past.
Class 2 had a busy week last week! They were exploring materials and their properties in science, creating sculptures in DT and looking at VIPs in PSHE.
On Friday, we had a whole-school celebration for Chinese New Year. We tasted Chinese food, made a whole-school dragon, made lucky purses, paper lanterns and tried Chinese writing. Behaviour was superb and lots of fun was had!
As part of #UKParliamentWeek class 3 held a debate on ‘the school day should be an hour longer’. They presented their case through speeches and posters, then cast a final vote. It was 12 votes to 4, against extending the school day.
