36 years in Michigan — and this is exactly why I stayed.
Opportunity. Community. Affordability. Freedom to build.
I came here with a dream. Michigan gave me the platform to build businesses, create jobs, and serve. 🇺🇸 https://t.co/4J29aTFweC

God Bless America! 🇺🇸 #America250
@Th_Midwesterner The radical left thrives on division and hate because they have no real solutions. Americans want safety, security, and common sense — not nonstop political extremism. 🇺🇸
🚨 SPECIAL ELECTION in Michigan’s 35th state senate district TODAY!
Polls close at 8:00 PM!
Republican Jason Tunney - @TunneyforSenate - is running against Democrat Chedrick Greene.
Jim Runestad, chairman of the Michigan Republican Party, told The @NYPost that Democrats are doing "damage control."
"Even Dana Nessel and Sylvia Santana are demanding an audit of the Democrat convention. Think about that," Runestad said. "Their own side doesn’t trust what happened. Chaos. Mismanagement. And now—damage control."

@RepMattHall MIGOP Convention was a big success—great leadership by Chairman Jim Runestad
If Democrats pick Garlin Gilchrist, it’s a clear contrast
Forlini = experience, proven Clerk, knows elections
Gilchrist = no experience, no record
Michigan deserves competence. Let’s win in November.
The Michigan Republican Endorsement Convention was the strongest and smoothest convention in recent memory.
Congratulations to @MIGOP Chairman Jim Runestad and the candidates officially endorsed at the convention.

Statement on Tonight’s Debate
Tonight at SVSU, voters in the 35th District saw exactly what this race is about. And the contrast could not have been clearer.
Jason Tunney dominated.
Jason laid out a strong, serious vision focused on what actually matters to families in our region:
-Improving education so our kids can succeed
-Lowering taxes to ease the burden on working families
-Cutting unnecessary regulations to help small businesses grow
-Addressing the public safety crisis and restoring law and order
It was a forward-looking, solutions-driven performance grounded in real experience and real results.
Meanwhile, Chedrick Greene offered more of the same failed ideas that Governor Whitmer and out-of-touch Democrats have been peddling. He even admitted that he had to finally come out of his basement that he’s been hiding from voters in.
Instead of solutions, Greene doubled down on policies that would make life harder for families in the 35th:
-He openly called for raising taxes in a district that is already overtaxed
-He admitted he would rather raise the restaurant minimum wage than lower taxes, putting local jobs at risk
-He said he would raid the state’s rainy day fund, threatening our financial stability
-And most troubling of all, he said that a man who shot two dogs and threatened to kill a woman’s son does not belong in jail
That’s not leadership. That’s dangerous judgment.
Tonight made one thing crystal clear:
Jason Tunney is the only candidate in this race with the experience, the vision, and the backbone to deliver real results for the people of the 35th District.

@SenGaryPeters Gary Peters is playing politics. If funding is truly critical, pass clean bills—not partisan packages. Republicans want accountability, not blank checks. Do your job.
@SenGaryPeters Gary Peters is misleading voters. Millions update records after marriage with no issues. Proving citizenship isn’t suppression—it’s common sense. The SAVE Act protects elections, not fraud. 🇺🇸
@NewYorkStateAG Equal treatment under the law isn’t an ‘attack.’ If DEI programs are fair and lawful, there should be no fear of transparency. The real question is: what are universities afraid of revealing?
It's great to see Michiganders coming together to help those in need following Friday's catastrophic tornado left 4 dead and at least 12 injured in Union City.
Thank you to the first responders and volunteers helping the community and families with ongoing recovery efforts. https://t.co/ycVm0Igc0g
🚨 All hands on deck for the Special Election in MI-35!
Gretchen Whitmer should be ashamed of herself for waiting so long to provide the PEOPLE with representation.
Time to send her a message by winning this critical special election!
🇺🇸@TunneyforSenate 🇺🇸 - We have your back!
Disaster Assistance Resources:
Our hearts and prayers are with the communities across Southwest Michigan—particularly in Cass, St. Joseph, and Branch counties—devastated by today’s severe tornadoes. We are deeply saddened by the destruction of homes, neighborhoods, and local businesses, but we remain incredibly grateful for the swift action of our brave first responders who are working tirelessly on the ground tonight.
If you or someone you know has been impacted by these storms and needs immediate assistance, the following resources are available:
🔴 Michigan 2-1-1: Dial 2-1-1 or text your zip code to 898211 to get connected with resources for food, emergency shelter, and basic needs.
🔴 American Red Cross (Michigan Region): Call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit their website for disaster relief and local shelter locations.
🔴 Power Outages & Downed Lines: Treat all downed wires as live and dangerous. Report them immediately to regional providers like Consumers Energy (800-477-5050) or Indiana Michigan Power (800-311-4634).
We will continue to monitor the recovery efforts closely. Please stay safe, stay off the roads to allow emergency crews to operate, and check on your neighbors.
God bless Michigan.
The U.S. standing with Israel against the Iranian regime is about security and strength.
Many Iranian citizens don’t support their oppressive government — they want freedom.
I stand with America. I stand with Israel. 🇺🇸🇮🇱
Peace through strength.

Michigan ranks 44th in 4th grade reading.
Only ~28% proficient (US avg ~32%).
We spend ~$16K per student — more than states that outperform us.
7 years. Billions spent. Bottom 10 results.
That’s not funding. That’s leadership. https://t.co/hKnJUgWLJz
