Also I am in no way saying that I'm perfect or that my relationship of over a decade is either. But never have we said hurtful things to each other in the middle of a fight. We've been together long enough to know when to table a discussion before it becomes a fight & cool down.
I love the new track don't get me wrong, & the video was *chef's kiss* on every level, but this? This doesn't sound very romantic to me. Sounds very much like the narcissistic relationships my sisters were able to thankfully escape.
This is just my take, you don't have to agree, and I'm not going to argue. And I'm not saying it to throw shade on Chris or Skylar who he said co-wrote the song with him. It's just my interpretation on what was said when the music video gave me a much different vibe.
@llamatidties@ichaabod Didn't @ichaabod get hate on here for calling that bullshit out too? Like damn, barricade ain't that deep. If I was them, I'd just send all of them to the back of the line and still make them wait ten minutes for spite.
@GordonGoodVibes I just posted about too. It's ALWAYS the label when it comes to booking bands, posting on social media and doing anything that people don't like, but 100% the band doing it when it's something they DO like.
So let me get this straight - Bands have 100% control over EVERYTHING usually.
UNLESS IT IS YOUR FAVORITE BAND - in which case you perform an Olympic worthy long jump to keep justifying the behavior you claim to hate.
@SVBrenny I AGREE - but devil's advocate, when people in those groups and communities on other platforms (aka outside the echo chamber that is X) are saying they feel safe, do their experiences / opinions not matter?
@ghostpicsss I feel bad for the victims who keep having their trauma used for clicks when people are still openly supporting the tour. There cannot be a call for action without people actually taking action outside of posting on social media.
@ghostpicsss 1. It was addressed a year ago too.
2. They were never getting kicked off that tour.
3. They have apologized AGAIN - and have even reached out to one of the victims (who came forward about said apology).
Can we please move on now?
@gnarlymedia_ people posting about your trauma as they demand DD be removed, yet at the same time refusing to actually stand by their words by still buying tickets & supporting the tour. In the end, I hope you & the others can find closure and heal from this as you deserve it.
Since a lot of people are asking for clarification and only getting one side of the story - here is the other side of the Dark Divine Drama as posted by Anthony himself when he had an X account.
Yes, the allegations were horrible, and no I won't be posting SS of those even
@gnarlymedia_ That being said, I have taken a step back, and I do understand there is nuance to everything (and again three sides to the issue). And I 100& agree that abuse is not okay, and should be spoken up about. But at the same time, it's got to be hurtful to you and the others to see
