We have all seen throughout the show how big of an empath Akanksha is. She has always been there for people at their lowest, no matter what bad they have to her. She has even stood by Shilpa ji after her secret was revealed. She even felt bad for Shreya when her secret was revealed.

We can all understand how tough it would have been for her to know that the guy she spent 25 days with was suicidal and was puking in his sleep because of the guilt he is carrying for the things he did to her. Any normal person, with a beating heart will go and check on the person and let go of the issues standing between them.
