"Since I lost my sight, I have believed that receiving an audio description from someone is a huge advantage, I think of it as an opportunity to see with several pairs of eyes, to have different opinions apart from my own."

Technology? A window to a world of possibilities.
Join Marce on her journey through assistive technology in this new blog entry. Remember that you can read it in Spanish as well

As a person living with blindness having to cover up half of the face during the pandemic was quite difficult at the beginning, cutting off on one of the most useful senses, smell. The smell is one sense that helps recognize spaces, people, and even objects.
Teaching myself how to use the rest of my body to be more aware of my surroundings. When it came to talking with people, I found that using the Sunu Band to know where this person was standing or how far away from me they were, became one of my most useful tools.
Having to stay away from people is quite hard when you have no idea of how far or in what direction this person may be. A life hack that I found for these situations was paying so much more attention to my hearing senses, more than what I already did.
