@LauraBeltranCDi The compositing of the live action actors in that trailer today was beyond baffling. Jackie wasn't prepared for the lengthy tirade I gave after she showed it to me. The curse of being a film production major. I suspect either a VFX illiterate director or executive meddling.
@AdequateEmily For the longest time, I resented the fact that I was trans. I'd regularly tell people that I hated it. It wasn't until I started HRT where I genuinely started enjoying it and seeing the positives. Turning a source of pain into a source of joy is very healing.
"Alright, finally finished rendering that video. Usually this is the part that goes wrong. I guess after a broken computer, tripod, encoding errors in the footage, etc, it evens itself out?"

"I don't know why I expected different."
Every time I go back and play Rogue Leader I find something else that impresses me before being bewildered by how they did this in less than 9 months. "Wow they carried over the color characteristics of film stock of the 70s and 80s...wait, dudes, you had no time. WUT?"
Like I understand this might sound rich coming from me, as someone who has made a fangame and a game heavily inspired by Turrican, but honestly when somebody asks me 'what other game is your game like' and I struggle to find a good answer, I feel like I'm doing something right.
I'm honestly getting tired of games that just exist to be like another game without any further goals. Like, don't get me wrong, it can be a good programming exercise and a good way to come to grips with another design philosophy, but if I wanted to play Mania, I'd do that.
