@KooTunes1 Man, this whole thing is certainly interesting, it started out with Xilam, & then (because of my willfully ignorance) it went off the rails with Spümcø. But even with the agreements and disagreements, I really enjoyed of this discussion, it was so worth it.
@KooTunes1 Oh yes for sure, I forgot about to mention Bill, another on the greatest R&S artist. It really comes to show that John K really needed talented people like them to help create R&S & Spümcø the way it is now, if it wasn’t for them, John will be nothing.
@KooTunes1 True on that, especially since both Bob Camp & Vincent “Mr. Huggies” Waller are close friends for a long time before they met John, so that’s makes sense. Even with that, I do believe that Lynne Naylor & Jim Smith has also more “True Creator” status. No disrespect to Bob.
@KooTunes1 And speaking of Wilbur Cobb, as much I see Bob Camp as a really talented artist, I’m really annoyed that people always put Bob on a pedestal as “The True Creator” of the show, when that just isn’t true, & it’s a disservice to everybody involved in the show, Bob included.
@KooTunes1 With that, I believe that R&S can’t exist without John himself, Lynne Naylor & Jim Gomez, This doesn’t discredit the folks who’s been a part of Spümcø & Carbunkle, it’s just that the show’s production was the Artists trying to fine-tuning things to try to appeal John & his ideas.
@KooTunes1@LafondLa52872 BTW @KooTunes1, I like to apologize for saying anything positive towards Spümcø projects (due to being one of my biggest guilty pleasures, even though I like their stuff) as it’s incredibly illegal all across Twitter for obvious reasons, but I don’t care because I can’t help it
@KooTunes1@LafondLa52872 And as for “The Ripping Friends”, that show feels like the most Frankenstein experiment of a Spümcø production I ever seen, also as much as I do really like that show as much as “The Ren & Stimpy Show”, I think it’s could been a lot better in terms of quality control.
@KooTunes1@LafondLa52872 For sure, Speaking of Spümcø, I view them as “the one hit wonder”, I think “The Ren & Stimpy Show” is their best work & lighting in the bottle (even I enjoy some of their later works like “Weekend Pussy Hunt” & “The Ripping Friends”) they haven’t had a good product ever since.
