Antibiotic discovery is becoming an important test case for how AI can help science move from pattern recognition to useful biological design.

I’m grateful to join @ASMicrobiology’s Editors in Conversation hosted by @SuperBugDoc to discuss AI, antimicrobials, infectious diseases, and the path from discovery to the clinic. A central challenge is not only finding new molecules, but learning how to design, optimize, validate, and translate them.

Thank you for the invitation.
