@tropicalupdate These forecasts are typically inaccurate compared to average numbers. If you ask ChatGPT it will eventually confirm that if you badger it to do so. Its just fodder for local news to report on it -- but never go back to confirm it after the season concludes.
@tropicalupdate Curious how accurate these predictions have proven to be historically when they fall outside of what would be considered average for a year. My guess is that they aren't particularly useful regardless.
@tropicalupdate CSU predictions are no better than random chance. Not sure why these guys get any publicity. Not even sure what value predicting the number of storms is in the long run anyway.
@Mannas5441 @DudespostingWs@AskPerplexity Looks like John Paul Mitchell. Dude has been making hair care products for years. Weird pairing but I love it.
@TheStingisBack Typical early Spielberg. People talking over each other, reflections, focused golden lighting, slow pan-in shots for reactions. He certainly had a style.
@C_S_Skeptic This would be an incredible movie. Eager people clammer to be a part of it, and the disasters that take place one by one, relegating the population to a Lord of the Flies/Bioshock existence, anarchy, and eventual collapse. All broadcast on social media.
