@alex60494@CrazyPete44@McalexMcintyre@RJHenderson7 There may be an initial bump. People will be interested by a new and shiny thing. Ultimately, their play will determine if they get good attendance. Judging by their record over the last few years, the chrome will wear off quickly.
@tspindlove@SteveEwen@WHLGiants We’ll see. There’s a Surrey Municipal election this Fall. This could all be posturing. To what end, I don’t know… but until I see the ground being broken, I remain sceptical. A lot of people in Surrey are against this arena.
@mumbojumbo231@SteveEwen@WHLGiants This is a very good question. It’s become a training ground for the NCAA in a very short amount of time.
The CHL doesn’t seem to know what to do.
@SteveEwen@WHLGiants Have been on the fence about renewing my season tickets this year. I mean, I’ve enjoyed the experience, but at some point you expect more than lip-service from ownership.
Now with this news, I’m out. It’s too bad…
@SteveEwen This just blows for the fans in Langley who have supported this team after several dismal seasons.
Did we ever really feel like the Giants were committed to Langley?
Sure… until the next shiny thing came along.
@RobTheHockeyGuy Can’t fill the LEC. What’s it gonna be like in a 10,000 seat arena?
Nothing quite like watching junior hockey in a mostly empty building.
