“I’m tired of this solar wahala. My inverter only lasts about four hours a day, and right now I’m back to using a generator. Every day, I spend ₦38,000 on fuel.”

I never regretted avoiding to identify with the gospel/secular tag my entire career, and my choice was a very informed one.
There are gospel musicians now who are contemplating creating love songs for their fiancé's or spouses (which is good), but they have caged themselves in the fear that they will divide their fans, or cause wahala, which is a valid fear, except, it is born from misinformation.
Doing love songs as a "gospel artist" doesn't mean you are an outcast. Okay, maybe it does for some people, but if the songs dey your heart, sing them. Be consistent in that.
Tell stories, entertain with your full chest. Engage in meme trends in your music. Etc. What should underscore all this should be the fact that you don't let them become idols, as a believer.
Again, the gospel music/secular music tags are altogether primitive in addressing how nuanced music is.
Secular music is not moral/immoral by definition. People are moral/immoral. Music is simply entertainment, and what you put in it doesn't change that, in reality o. But we end up working with what we have, which is the primitive tags.
And so, the human heart is a funny thing. Some people are afraid of going too far, and it still goes back to the misinformation, which says that the moment you start doing secular songs, then your soul belongs to Satan. So people who start doing secular songs give themselves to Satan willingly - if they believe that.
It's unfortunate.
But I hope more people can remove themselves from this dualistic outlook on music, which, I believe, is highly legalistic.
You can't say this in church.
@roballport@jeffrey_way@laravelbackpack@core_ui Not trying to start a flame war or nothing. Just my opinion. I disagree with you. Django boilerplate is much easier to configure. And it comes with an admin dashboard. At least a sys admin dashboard. I have used Laravel and Django since 2020, but I prefer the ease of Django.
@roballport@jeffrey_way@laravelbackpack@core_ui I concede Laravel is powerful as PHP is the language of the web. But the fact it doesn't come with an admin dashboard and it's built-in Auth system is not intuitive makes me relegate it to only making API's.
