@MetalJesusRocks What does the future of retro game collecting look like with this new rental mentality where nobody actually owns games today? Are future collectors going to be pirates & hackers because there is no other way to own a physical copy of anything that works standalone?

Honestly, you buy a game today and the disc only contains a launcher that needs to grab the data off a server instead of installing anything from the disc itself. And this is becoming more and more common.

It's like the gaming industry completely destroyed any possible secondhand market in the future. And it's not just games either, now it's hardware that also gets completely disabled and becomes a coaster without online connectivity.

This honestly is depressing AF to me.
