@SZapper85 the reason is probably because the teen heroes are just not that popular or well known, why use Kali for a GL rep when Guy Gardner is a way more popular and well known character.
at least that's what I think their thought process was

DC Super Powers Animated show is about Kids going to Justice League Academy to become full licensed heroes.

•The Students so far are Black Lightning, Jesse Chambers), Plastic Man, Terra, Aquagirl(Not confirmed which one), and Guy Gardner
•The Teachers's so far confirmed are Superman,Wonder Woman,Batman,Black Canary, Mr. Terrific and more.
•Guy Gardner will also have a bowl cut in this. They changed it after Superman 2025.
•Students start off with baseline powers but receive permanent power upgrades from the academy’s network when they perform well.
• Lightning receives “Lightning blast” in the pilot episode and Plastic Man receives “hardening” after completing an act of heroism.
•“The Giant Monster Workshop” helps them prepare against fights against giant monsters and “Bystander Protect” has a tiny robot called Bystander which teaches them how to rescue civilians.

•The Show is set in LA and Hal Jordan Memorial High
•Characters like Kyle Rayner,Alex DuWitt, Nikki Jones and Thomas Rowe will be an important part of Jessica’s high school life.
• Jessica Cruz trains in a temple to understand what it means being a Green Lantern.
• Jessica Cruz has to sing the Oath to transform. Auli’i Cravalho(Moana) is the only confirmed Voice actor on the show so far!
•The Show will also apparently feature Yellow and Red lanterns.

DC has announced Joker: Laugh Riot, a new animated series
