My entire life. Always was in a friend groups but never felt I had that one close friend. I was the easily left behind when the group would change as new people joined. Lies to about plans “not happening” but then hear about them later as if they forgot they didn’t include me.

Does anyone else who's neurodivergent feel like they've always had trouble "fitting in" with groups of friends? Like you're there, but you're not an integral part. This isn't self-pity, it's just the feeling of being on the periphery, no matter how hard you try.
