A Superior stream, Faxon Creek, was monitored through winter to measure chloride (a road salt component) in the stream. We found that there is definitely a spike ๐ in chloride during the winter. ๐ปGreat news: Yesterday, after rain events ๐ง, the chloride reading decreased! ๐
Today and tomorrow's forecasted warm(er) weather indicate that we need to do Step #4 with Smart Salting Practices: Sweep Salt Up! ๐๐งน
